

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left on Monday for the Republic of Kazakhstan on a two-day state visit during which he will meet President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan.
This visit comes in response to a gracious invitation extended to His Majesty the Sultan from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The visit reflects the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries. The visit aims to extend new bridges of partnership and investment in a manner that realizes mutual benefit for the two countries.
Upon departure, His Majesty the Sultan was seen off at the Royal Airport by some of their highnesses, ministers and military commanders.
His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied during the visit by a high-level official delegation comprising HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Lt Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Nuamani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salim al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority; Anwar bin Hilal al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Shaikh Dr Salah bin Salim Jaaboub, the Sultanate of Oman's Ambassador to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
